Medical Disclaimer

Doctiplus connects you with real doctors and real diagnostic services, but the website itself, including our articles, guides, and tools, is not a doctor. This page explains exactly where that line sits, so you can use our platform with a clear understanding of what it can and cannot do for you.

01

Purpose of This Page

Doctiplus was built to make it easier to find a doctor, book a lab test, or read something useful about a health concern at two in the morning when a clinic isn't open. That convenience comes with a responsibility on our part to be clear about what the platform is actually offering at any given moment. A blog post explaining what a symptom might mean is a different thing entirely from a licensed physician reviewing your specific case over video. This page draws that line plainly, once, in one place, so you never have to guess which side of it you're standing on.

02

Our Content Is Not Medical Advice

Everything published on doctipluss.com outside of a live consultation, including health guides, symptom explainers, condition overviews, lab test descriptions, and FAQ answers, is written to inform, not to diagnose or treat. It reflects general medical knowledge and is not tailored to your body, your history, or your current medications. Reading an article about migraines does not mean you have a migraine, and reading about a lab result range does not mean your own results should be interpreted the same way.

Where This Applies

This limitation covers our blog, health guides, specialty overview pages, lab test descriptions, quizzes and interactive tools, and any AI generated summaries. It does not describe the actual consultations you book through Doctiplus, which are conducted by independent, licensed doctors exercising their own professional judgment.

03

Browsing the Site Is Not a Consultation

No doctor-patient relationship is created simply by visiting doctipluss.com, creating an account, taking our specialty finder quiz, or reading any page on this site. That relationship begins only once a licensed provider has accepted your booking and is actively engaged in your consultation, whether by video, message, or in person. Until that point, nothing you've read or clicked through should be treated as a professional opinion about your health.

Our Specialty Quiz

Suggests which type of doctor to book based on general symptom categories. It is a starting point for navigation, not a diagnostic tool.

Lab Test Descriptions

Explain what a test generally measures. Your actual results should always be reviewed with a doctor, not self-interpreted from a reference range online.

Community and Forum Content

Reflects the experiences and opinions of other users, not clinical guidance, and should not be relied on for treatment decisions.

04

Emergency Situations

Doctiplus Is Not an Emergency Service

If you or someone near you is experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, signs of stroke, thoughts of self harm, or any other potentially life threatening symptom, do not wait for a video consultation. Call your local emergency number or go directly to the nearest emergency room. Video and messaging based care is built for timely, non emergency medical needs, and it is not designed or staffed to respond to emergencies in real time.

Some of our home care and lab services involve scheduled visits rather than immediate response, which makes them unsuitable for urgent situations as well. When in doubt about whether something is an emergency, treat it as one.

05

Accuracy & Currency of Information

Medicine moves. Guidelines get revised, new studies overturn older assumptions, and dosing recommendations change as drugs are studied further. We work to keep our content current and reference credible sources, as outlined in our Editorial Policy, but no publishing schedule can guarantee that every article reflects the very latest research the moment it's released. If something you read seems to conflict with what your doctor tells you, trust your doctor. They know your case; the article does not.

06

Individual Results May Vary

Descriptions of treatments, recovery timelines, home care outcomes, or typical lab result ranges are written as general reference points, not promises. Two people with the same diagnosis can respond very differently to the same treatment depending on genetics, other conditions, medications, age, and dozens of factors a general article simply cannot account for. Nothing on Doctiplus should be read as a guarantee of a particular outcome for you specifically.

07

Medication & Treatment Information

Where our content mentions medications, supplements, or treatment approaches, it is meant to build general understanding, not to tell you what to take or how much. Dosing, interactions, and suitability depend on your full medical history, which a website cannot know. Digital prescriptions issued through Doctiplus come only from a licensed doctor after an actual consultation, and any medicine ordered through our platform should be taken exactly as that doctor directs, not as a blog post describes.

Never stop or change a prescribed medication based on something you read on this site without first speaking with the doctor who prescribed it or another qualified provider.

08

Third Party Links & Information

Our articles sometimes link out to health authorities, research organizations, and other credible external sources, several of which are listed on our Resources We Rely On page. We choose these links because we believe they add genuine value, but we do not control those websites, cannot guarantee their content stays accurate after we link to it, and linking to a resource is not an endorsement of everything else that organization publishes.

09

AI Assisted Content

As described in our Editorial Policy, some content on Doctiplus is drafted with the help of AI assisted tools before being reviewed by our editorial team. AI assisted drafts are held to the same accuracy standard as any other article before publishing, but readers should know that this process exists. If anything reads as unclear, outdated, or inconsistent with established medical guidance, we want to hear about it so we can fix it.

10

Regional & Regulatory Differences

Doctiplus operates across 33 US states and more than 50 countries, and medical regulations, prescribing rules, and available treatments are not identical everywhere. A medication, procedure, or type of consultation described in general terms on this site may not be available, legal, or covered by insurance in your specific location. Your assigned doctor will confirm what is actually possible and appropriate given where you are and the regulations that apply there.
